Provein I.V. cannula with wings and an injection valve, for giving fluids, medicines and blood through a vein. The injection port has a non-return valve, so extra medication can be given without removing the cannula. Each size is colour coded.
Sizes - 16G (grey) and 18G (green): rapid fluid replacement and blood transfusion - 20G (pink): routine infusions in adults - 22G (blue): smaller or fragile veins - 24G (yellow): children and patients with very fine veins - 26G (violet): newborns and infants
